FROG PATROL ACTIONS IN RADENSKO POLJE

On the road along Radensko Polje, connecting Veliko Mlačevo and Veliko Račno, we have installed an amphibian temporary fence for the eighteenth consecutive year as part of our project. Permanent fences and underpasses are already under construction in the area, making this the last year a temporary protective fence will be set up.

This year, we installed the fence on January 24th and welcomed the first amphibians, predominantly agile frogs, common toads, and smooth newts. In the evening hours, we safely carried them across the road.

In the coming days, as temperatures rise and rainfall increases, the Frog patrol activities will continue. We invite all volunteers interested in participating in the Frog patrol to contact us at info@radenskopolje.si, join our team, and contribute to the protection of amphibians and nature.
