THE SHORTEST ROAD SECTION PAKO-GORIČICA SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED

We are pleased to announce that the second – the shortest LIFE AMPHICON road section Pako-Goričica in the Ljubljana Barje – has been successfully completed.

During the construction, we tested the laws of nature of Ljubljana Barje over a length of 450 m. 

We experienced why the Ljubljansko Barje is called “Morost” by the locals and why it required special attention from the whole team during construction. The solutions were adapted to the wet terrain.

In autumn 2024, the compaction of the embankment was carried out. The constructed amphibian underpasses were monitored by measurements until the end of construction, checking for settlement and possible deformation.  

7 amphibian underpasses have been constructed in this road section.

At the same time as the amphibian measures, the national road was being reconstructed along the same length, with drainage and new traffic signalling.
