INVITATION TO SECOND NATIONAL MEETING OF FROG PATROLLERS

The Coordination Centre for Amphibians (CCA) in Slovenia invites you to the second national meeting of Frog Patrollers, which is organized in the LIFE AMPHICON project.

We would like to thank all the participants for all the efforts and work they have been doing for many years and for contributing significantly to the conservation of amphibian populations in their local environment. We are looking forward to meeting you all in person, to exchange opinions, ideas, good practices, knowledge, and experience on amphibian conservation in Slovenia.

The meeting will take place on Saturday, 20 September 2025, at 10:00 at the Žabja domačija (Frog Homestead) at Kozjanski park (Trebče 47, Bistrica ob Sotli).

On Sunday, 21 September 2025, Kozjanski Park kindly invites you to join us for a special visit to Podsreda Castle. Following the visit, we will head together to Jovsi, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore the newly created ponds for the Great Crested Newts, implemented as part of the LIFE AMPHICON project. We’ll also take a walk through Jovsi, the largest wetland along the Sotla River..

We invite you to present your Frog Patrol work at the event—share your results, experiences, challenges, and fieldwork insights. We kindly request a brief summary of your presentation, which will also be included in the annual Regljač newsletter, highlighting amphibian conservation efforts and related activities from the year.
