Within this action, technical and administrative documentation for habitat creation/restoration and supportive breeding will be prepared in order to obtain all the necessary permits according to national laws.
In Denmark the competent authorities for issuing the permit to restore the ponds are Nyborg municipality (Nature Protection Act) and Amphi. They will prepare all needed documents based on the site-specific action plans (A.1). The Slovenian Protected areas managers (PAMA) and VUO will apply a similar project documentation method for habitat creation/restoration. In Germany and Slovenia, based on the site-specific action plans (A.1) for specific project site, permits from competent authorities will be applied to carry out the measures (C.1, C.2) as required by law. To do so, required application forms, detailed maps of micro locations and detailed technical descriptions of each measure will be prepared for the permit application.
When placing the locations for new ponds and terrestrial habitat management, existing features of high natural value will be taken into account (such as existing high value habitats, protected and/or endangered animal and plant species present) to prevent negative impact on nature. In some cases, site visits with representatives from authorities will be necessary.
Preparation of project documentation for habitat creation/restoration is needed for all 6 project sites (SI – Slovenia, DK – Denmark and DE – Germany). In Jovsi (SI) also the permit for supportive breeding of fire-bellied toad is required.
