THE FINAL MEETING OF TOAD PATROL IN VURBERK AND TRAVELING OF EXHIBITION SEDEM MRESTOV

On Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the invitation of the association Ohranimo naravo čisto Duplek, the organizers of the Toad Patrol in Vurberk, we presented the activities of the LIFE AMPHICON project at Vurberk Castle, located in the municipality of Spodnji Duplek in Štajerska.

The event took place outdoors on the castle stage, where we set up the mobile exhibition Sedem mrestov. During the presentation of our activities, the participants were especially interested in how amphibian underpasses are constructed and how the supportive breeding of the Italian crested newt was carried out in Kozjansko Park. They expressed a desire to have similar amphibian underpasses and permanent solutions at their location, on the road section between two ponds near Vurberk Castle.

Among the volunteers were many primary school students. After our presentation, they received certificates of appreciation and symbolic gifts. A total of 16 participants attended the event. After the acknowledgements were handed out, we were invited to enjoy some refreshments.
