D. MONITORING OF THE IMPACT OF THE PROJECT ACTIONS

At the end of May 2023, the LIFE AMPHICON project team traveled to Denmark, where we were met by project partners from the AMPHI organization and the municipality of Nyborg....

In 2021, we transferred more than 18,000 amphibians over the road, in 2022 over 16,000, and this year we transferred as many as 20.500 amphibians in a total of twenty-three nights....

On Monday, 27th of March 2023, the external monitor Mitja Kaligarič, Ph.D. from NEEMO organization visited the LIFE AMPHICON project, this time in Kozjanski Park....

In the past two months we finished the establishment of ten planned ponds in Jovsi. As the temperatures rise, they could soon host the first spawning amphibians. Further work on the project site was focused on improvement of terrestrial habitats....

Between February 28 and March 1, 2023, a two-day professional field visit of Salzburg and its surroundings took place. The purpose was to network and share experiences on amphibian conservation and best practices for implementing measures for amphibians on roads....
